This Paddington café occupies the ground floor of a magnificent Victorian Heritage building. The new owners wanted to provide a more contemporary and on trend mood without compromising the integrity of the period features. We looked into the history of the site to find out that it was once the location of an iconic and successful restaurant of the 1980’s. Some further analysis led us to the checkerboard pattern which went on to influence the wallpaper selection, along with the client’s preference for palms. With a tight budget in mind, and the client’s preference for DIY, we suggested some cost effective and manageable options for them to consider.
